Employee Based Health Care

Which is why finding full-time work in the United States is not easy. In fact many employers will not hire full-time workers because they can not afford too provide health care for their employees.

Obesity in the United States

That’s nearly 1 in 5 people who are in the prime of their life. While 31% of 50-59 year olds are obese. Which is nearly 1 in 3 people in the middle years of life. Obesity drops back down to 19% of people 70 years or older.

The seven wonders of the Ancient World

2. The Colossus of Rhodes- was a 32 meter high bronze statue of the sun god Helius. It was destroyed by a earthquake in 224 B.C.

Obesity Epidemic

Walk into any room and look around and chances are you will see 2 or 3 people who are Obese and 2 or 3 more who are overweight.

Rip tides can kill
Submitted by Kemo on 15 July, 2008 - 07:54.A rip tide is a surface flow of water returning out too sea “or lake”. When waves break on the beach the water needs too return too the sea. If the returning water is channeled though a sandbar, pier or jetties a rip current can occur. Rip currents are found all over the world. Rip currents are strongest on windy days or during sever storms such as hurricanes.

A typical full time employee works 40 hours a week in the United States. However a full time employee can work as little as 32 hours a week and maintain their full time status.

A good book about HIV/AIDS

In his book Mr. Engel discusses the emergence of Aids during the early 1980’s and how the virus has spread around the world. He also looks at the American governments failed attempts to stop Aids for spreading.

Turtles carry salmonella

The Center for Disease Control has reported that “no reliable methods are available to guarantee that a turtle is free of salmonella”. Salmonella is a nasty illness anyone who has been infected with salmonella can attest to that.

We may be eating cloned animals in the United States very soon!

According to the FDA, “Extensive evaluation of the available data has not identified any subtle hazards that might indicate food-consumption risks in healthy clones of cattle, swine, or goats,".

Americans need visas too travel too Canada

Which seems crazy too me because I live in Michigan which shares a water border with Canada and I’m accustomed too boating over too Canada without anyone caring. People in Michigan and Canada have a friendly bond.

The Olympic torch reaches the top of the world

Apparently torch carriers had to wear oxygen masks too make the assent too the top of Everest. The torch makes a tour around the world every Olympic year ending at the opening ceremony.
