Don't Cry for Me
Submitted by shobhan on 16 June, 2008 - 20:46.Looking over the vast expanse of greenery, scattered with flowers and fruits I thought about life itself. Life in all its splendour and beauty hides the ugliness of decay when something ages, dies and rots.

Mind Games
Submitted by shobhan on 14 June, 2008 - 08:55.From the moment a child is born, it starts mind games. It learns that every time it cries its parent or grand parent will run to find out why. As it grows older it learns more sophisticated games that will benefit it. As time passes it learns how to use its mind to play tricks, to manipulate and organise its life so that it does not put itself at a disadvantage.

Problems faced by Man Today
Submitted by shobhan on 8 June, 2008 - 09:19.The Earth and all in it, does not belong to any one man or beast. It belongs to a higher being which we all call The Almighty. Yet most of us, in fact all of us, claim to own something of It. Though The Almighty, is the Owner, He/She/It does not show or indicate total control of the Earth and Its resources directly.

Balance in the Physical Environment and the Human Mind
Submitted by shobhan on 6 June, 2008 - 18:34.Nothing can remain unresolved provided a person takes the moderate path. Any form of extremism is bad. One should not be too tolerant nor too intolerant. Likewise, one should be controlled but not too controlled.
This should be the case when one deals with people in the workplace, in public places or at home with friends and relatives.

Criminal Minds
Submitted by shobhan on 30 May, 2008 - 19:16.Violence is an innate part of Man. This is what I conclude from the facts I obtained from the documentary on Jeffrey Dahmer, a convicted murderer, cannibal and necrophiliac.

What is Life?
Submitted by shobhan on 30 May, 2008 - 09:59.It is the same things we do everyday. We wake up, clean ourselves, get ready for work, either cooking for the family or working to feed the family. We race and challenge with others to attain what satisfies us most. If there are children in the family, we get them to do the things they ought to do and so on and so forth.

Liberation
Submitted by shobhan on 28 May, 2008 - 17:48.Where there is sadness, we learn to sow happiness
Where there is cruelty, we understand kindness,
Where there is hatred, the heart knows love
Where there is defeat, we appreciate victory
Where there is ignorance, we differentiate wisdom
Where there is mercy, we are granted forgiveness
Where there is trust, we gain respect
Where there is faith, there is believe

My Virtual World
Submitted by shobhan on 28 May, 2008 - 07:05.There goes mum quarreling with the neighbours again. Why can't she stop being petty over little things? Why is she so adamant to put things the way she wants. Can't she see that I feel suffocated whenever she breathes out fire.
Oh there goes my beau. He is so charming, so energetic and so...ooooo.
Oh mum you are at it again?....

Nature in its beauty
Submitted by shobhan on 27 May, 2008 - 06:36.Looking at this picture, I felt that I was in a world of my own, far away. No pollution, no worries and in total ignorant bliss. For once I felt a oneness with God. No heavy traffic to grapple with, no deadlines to meet at the workplace, no noisy neighbours to tolerate and no rat race to compete in. A life without woes.

On Transgenic Animals
Submitted by shobhan on 25 May, 2008 - 20:50.Something is still bothering me. In the deep recesses of my mind lie a few questions that need to be answered.
My friends out there in the blogging community should also give these questions serious thought and come up with more questions and if possible some answers and solutions as well.

Transgenic Animals
Submitted by shobhan on 24 May, 2008 - 08:57.What is the world coming to? Why is human life given more prominence than other forms of life? Aren't we afraid that we might endanger the foodweb when scientists manipulate nature through creation of transgenic animals?

A Friend's Prayer
Submitted by shobhan on 24 May, 2008 - 06:50.My boss is a great lady. Why I say so may surprise most of you readers out there as the majority of us have bosses for whom we have little praise.
This boss of mine rushed to the aid of our food caterer's wife who collapsed and was admitted to the ICU as a result of a severe attack of asthma.

Nobility in Professions
Submitted by shobhan on 22 May, 2008 - 18:30.I was at my daughter's school this morning, when an old acquaintance happened to stop by, to leave her daughter at school, and we got into a conversation. Within that ten minute dialogue I came to understand her complaints about the teaching and medical professions.

We Wonder
Submitted by shobhan on 18 May, 2008 - 10:26.We wonder. Yes, we wonder. We wonder how the sun keeps on shining and how its heat makes living things grow and develop. We wonder why the oceans don't run dry. We wonder why the sky is so blue when bright and grey when cloudy. We wonder how seeds germinate and produce the giant Sequoias. We wonder why the polar ice caps remain intact and what happens if they were to melt.
