OIL BURNING AT $123

It seems there is no letup in the price rise of oil globally. With each passing day there is a rise in its price and it has leapt to $123 per barrel. It seems there are no signs of its cooling down in the near future, although there is a global slow down in US, Europe and Asia. A few months back when there were predictions and assumptions that its prices would cross $100 mark, there were immense hues and cries from all quarters, but now it seems we are immune to any mark it may assume in the near future.

No doubt there have been set backs as far as production is concerned like the hurricane damage in the Gulf of Mexico and an ever increasing demand.

In retaliation what follows is the price rise of essential commodities and a spiraling inflation which is simply out of control of any government throughout the world.

The time has come to seriously think of alternative sources of fuel like bio fuel and to tap the other untapped sources of energy. A collective effort globally can only solve the problem of oil and ease the pressure on public transport system.

Personal vehicles need to be pooled. Rapid mass transports like trams and metros are quiet costly and on the same we cannot go back to stone age or wheel age and take to carts and bullocks. It is perhaps jet age and works are done at electrifying speed at the push of a button, quietly and instantly.
