Criminal Minds

Violence is an innate part of Man. This is what I conclude from the facts I obtained from the documentary on Jeffrey Dahmer, a convicted murderer, cannibal and necrophiliac.

His comments in an interview, for his course of action were strongly based on an obsession for total control. He wanted total control over his homosexual partner, thus the killing and devouring of his partner's flesh. He felt that by eating human flesh that person would become a permanent part of him.

Jeffrey Dahmer was diagnosed as mentally unstable and his necrophiliac tendencies were taken as the root cause for the murders.

If one watches documentaries on 'Cannibalism,' it is clear that some tribes practise killing and eating of human flesh as a ritual. Does that
make all of them insane?

Jeffrey Dahmer talked about religion as a guide to human behaviour. He also verified that his parents had nothing to do with his line of action and that they were completely ignorant of his wrongdoings. Here Jeffrey Dahmer shows piety and concern for the well being of his family. When a man can create the divide between humane and inhumane actions can he be classified as insane?

Many of us , in fact all of us have sexual fantasies that are triggered at puberty. Some of these can only be in story books as in the case of Princess Diana and Prince Charles. A sexual fantasy can be practical or impractical. When it is impractical as in the case of Jeffrey Dahmer's and others like him it enters the realm of crime.

Any man with such sexual tendencies would have realised them the way Jeffrey Dahmer did, if there were no controls and no religious or moral guidance.

Jeffrey Dahmer talked about religion as a guide and Jesus being the way, but where were the religion and Jesus he talks about now, when he was committing those hideous acts of crime? Is he genuine when he brings in religion and moral values after he has been condemned to a life in hell? I feel really sorry for this unfortunate soul.May his miserable soul find peace at least in the afterlife!

shobhan, i feel sadism is

shobhan, i feel sadism is buried deep in the history of mankind. it is inherent in all of us. bullfights, gladiators, wwf, boxing...the desire/lust to see blood is present indiscriminately. the tags change and morals are classified. while society has most of us control our lust, some fall in service to their true nature.
