Learning more languages

Many people do not care for learning any other languages apart from their mother tongues. However, knowing other languages often prove to be very helpful.

Although, language as a medium for communication, came much later than from the time when people started communicating, knowing more than one language helps very much in interacting with people having different mother tongues.

Mother tongue is the first language that we learn almost unknowingly from the people who surround us during our initial days of infancy. However, many people cannot master their mother tongue too due to various reasons.

If the mother tongue is not learned properly, it is difficult for a person to pick up other languages. Because, we basically correlate and compare the new language with our mother tongue, and draw a comparative sketch in our minds to store the new language there.

We all need to know at least two other languages than our mother tongue, more than that is always better.
