A good book about HIV/AIDS
I just finished reading The Epidemic “a global history of aids” by Jonathan Engel. In his book Mr. Engel discusses the emergence of Aids during the early 1980’s and how the virus has spread around the world. He also looks at the American governments failed attempts to stop Aids for spreading.
AIDS is no longer the death sentence it used too be for those who are fortunate enough too live in the developed world. However in third world nations AIDS is literally wiping out an entire generation of people.
I’ve found The Epidemic “a global history of aids” enlightening. I would recommend it too anyone who is interested in the history of Aids and how we got to were we are today in the continued battle against this killer disease.
Anyway thanks for reading
