Life Plays with Us

As mother of handicapped child I am in touch with other mothers of such kids. Every new about rehabilitation or cure is very important for us. My friend, who is mother of three years old boy with microcefallus (his brain does not grow) is busy by searching money for rehabilitation session of her son. It is hard to get 1000 dollars from any rich sponsor, but last Sunday, she has called me, that one friend offered her 200 000 American dollars!

Little Sara had very complicated cancer. She needed operation, which our doctors do not perform. Her parents found out, that they have to go to USA, where they can help to Sara. They had to find sponsors for so expensive journey. They made a short video about Sara, they asked journalists to help them, wrote hundred letters to big companies asking for help. Finally after two years of huge effort, they had 200 000 dollars at Sara’s account and could prepare for difficult step in their life. After booking operation in USA, they wanted to see grandparents in other town before leaving the country. They had accident and all three members of this unlucky, but strong family died. Sara’s uncle has offered her money to my friend.

My friend refused the money. I understand why. At the end of our call she told me: “Life plays with us as with dolls.”
