Global Hypocrisy

Life is becoming miserable with each passing day because even in this civilized world the brute rule of jungle, i.e., might is right is still applicable in letter and spirit. The authoritative countries dictate global policies to the weak nation states. The power intoxicated dinosaurs resort to double standards to fix various international issues. In nuclear subject the P-5 members are running with the hare and hunting with the hounds. After the end of prowling colonialism the colonial masters frame WTO to exploit developing countries under the guise of globalization. Several countries have adopted double standards to sign and ratify Kyoto Protocol. The influential countries having hegemonic designs sponsor ethnic discords, sectarian clashes and political rivalries in weak nation states to fish in troubled waters. They preach democracy but practice feudalism in international affairs. They pamper authoritarian rulers in various parts of the world so that they can safeguard their concerns in their respective regions that speak volumes for their deceitful attitudes.

Powerful countries are violating democratic principles and human rights in different parts of the world that has made survival of the unfortunate natives tremendously difficult. The number of casualties in sporadic terrorist incidents is just tip of the iceberg in comparison with those resulting due to state sponsor terrorism. The power intoxicated countries are using deadly weapons against those belonging to weak states but when they retaliate they call it terrorism. The powerful and prejudiced wheeler-dealer media belonging to power intoxicated crocodiles help in molding various issues to justify unjust actions of their authority drunk gurus. War on Terrorism was conceived to subjugate and steamroll weak nation states. Now this unwarranted war has engulfed several countries in its horrible flames.

The western countries have framed laws to protect feelings of the Jews and the Christians but there is no proper law to shield religious sentiments of the Muslims. They even mollycoddle those who vent prejudice against Islam under the guise of freedom of expression. Western religious scholars, political leaders and literary persons spare no effort to tarnish image of Islam. In order to establish global peace these hypocritical approaches must be given up because twofold standards can only worsen the already grim situation.

The developed countries should help the developing countries in resolving their intricate problems instead of exploiting them. In order to resolve nuclear issues there must be universal denuclearization. There must be same principles for all regarding nuclear, economic, environmental and political agreements. Power entails responsibility and irresponsible use of power leads to chaos and commotion. Now the world cannot afford luxuries of wars and conflicts because unfair launching of war at one place can threaten international peace. War breeds war because peace cannot stem from the barrel of a gun. Therefore, there is crying need of global dispensation of justice by giving up dual principles.
