HOW FIT ARE YOU- PART 1- GENERAL HEALTH
Have you been a non-smoker and have you tried to avoid passive smoking?
Do you drink less than two or three units of alcohol a day or none at all?
Are you taking steps to reduce the amount of stress in your life?
If you have answered 'no' to any of the above questions then you should read this.
Smokers are five times more likely to suffer from heart attack at an early age. Smoking is also known as a causer of high blood pressure, bronchitis, cancer and ulcers.
A low intake of alcohol can lower blood pressure, reduce stress and reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease while excess alcohol can trigger high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes and liver damage.
Stress lowers your immune system and increases your risk of infection and disease, high blood pressure, heart attacks, strokes and cancer. Exercise to relieve stress, eat fruits and vegetables, and eliminate caffeine and nicotine.
So in order for you to be healthy in general you should avoid excess alcohol, smoking and reduce stress.
