Basic knowledge in POWER GENERATION:-

Let us have a basic knowledge in power generation. This infra structure project can improve the industrial economy in a country.

Hydro power: Water from the dam comes down rapidly and runs a water turbine and the power is generated.

Thermal power: Coal is ignited at very high temperatures to get steam which will run a steam turbine and generate electricity.

Atomic power: Here Uranium metal is used to effect nuclear fission which releases nuclear energy .This heat energy helps to heat the heavy water and produces steam. This steam is used to rotate the steam turbine to generate power.

We can also generate power from wind energy ,running windmills. Similarly the tidal energy from the sea can also be utilized to generate power but it is not viable. Recently new technology has been identified for generating power from garbage.
