Are we living in a safe place?

Art of living, Its high time people find out the art of living and excersie it in their life.

Are we living in a safe place?? With people who do not respect each others individuality its difficut to live. I would like to see at least one day a newpaper or a news channel that has got no crime news in it. Is it not possible? Or has all the good things in life got a darker side to reavel in it.

When I delivered my first baby both me and my husband was so happy as it was our dream to have a baby girl and god had granted our wish. According to my husband he felt if it was a girl child he could become more responsible and thus make his life better. He was worried to have a boy child as he feared that how he will manage him remebering the pranks and life he has lead.

Maybe since I dint have an adventerous childhood like him or for some other reasons, for me both boy and girl was equal to me. But I secretly wished I had a girl child as it was my husbands wish.

That was our case of mind, lets now turn on to what others had to say about this. What my mohter in law said when she heard it was a baby girl. She said it came to her as a shock thinking about the news we all come across daily in the newspapers and in the channels. She wished it could have been a boy. She asked me how can we sit at home at ease when we send our children to school. The world has changed a lot, earlier only adults had to be cautious now even a newborn baby has to be covered from the eagle eyes of the people who are literlly sick.

This thought gave me a shock and there is nothing to be surprized when people kill girl child when in the womb itself. It always need not be the reason that we think they did because they think girl is a burden. Its because they dont want their baby girl to live in this place which has become a tough place to live in especially if you are of the female sex. Did they really kill the baby girl or save her from her life?

The answer is for us to decide and lets make this world a beautiful palce to live in and not a place to give up our life which comes only once.
