The Oberoi group has made India proud by owning three of the top 6 hotels in the world. In fact properties owned and managed by Oberoi are right on top of all lists of best hotels and resorts in the world.

The Conde Nast Travellers' list, the Oscars of the hotel industry, ranks Oberoi's Udaivilas and Vanyavilas as 2nd and 3rd followed by the group's Amarvilas in Agra as 6th in the world. Rajvilas owned by the group in Jaipur comes in at 18th! Surprisingly no hotel from the Taj group has made it to the list. In Asia's Top 75 hotels, Oberoi's Udaivilas, Amarvilas and Rajvilas ranks as 1st, 3rd and 4th. The Taj Mahal Mumbai comes in at 19, the Taj Lake Palace at 34, Umaid Bhawan managed by the Taj is 51 on the list and the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi is ranked 87. Leela Palace in Bangalore is ranked 69th.

On the Asian list of Resorts, Oberoi's Vanyavilas is 1st. Travel and Leisure ranks the Oberoi's Udaivilas as the best hotel in the world. Amarvilas and Rajvilas come in at 10 and 11. Thus the Oberoi Group have firmly put India on the global hotel and resort industry asa destination par excellence.
