God's own country

Kerala, dubbed God's own country is my land. This is where i was born and brought up, and this is where my soul will ever be, wherever I might live. It is indeed a lovely land, a land of scenic beauty, a land of everlasting peace, prosperity and happiess, since time immemorial when the righteous ruler,King Mahabali ruled over the land. It is believed that Kerala arose out of the sea,when great Parasurama threw his axe, so was born this great state, considered to be a place of heavenly beauty. But is all this true? Is kerala indeed a heavenly place, in this era of turmoil? I am sorry to say that I do not feel so. Today, kerala is known more for its incessant hartals than for its tresure trove of coconuts, for riots and violence than for peace, and for indiscipline, laziness and its happy-go-lucky people more than for anything else. This leaves much food for thought.So long.
