Violence against North Indians in Mumbai - Are Politicians Above Law?

It is really strange that in spite of provoking violence against north Indians MNS chief Raj Thakeray is still roaming free and having fun with bigwigs. When a common man is arrested immediately for a small incident of anti-social activities, the government hesitate to take action against a powerful man.

It clearly indicates that police also work under pressure from their political godfathers. They forget law or what is in the welfare of the society. They act according to the directions coming from their seniors who actually love to play in the hands of the powerful.

Is any law made to harass only the weak and the poor?

The Congress government is hand-in-glove with Raj Thakeray it is clear. Even if any action is taken it will be just to fool the people that Congress is truly secular. Why no action was taken by the Congress government for the first three or four days, when violence was being carried on in the city openly even against the prominent members of the opposition.

What can be the game of Congress, who acted like a powerless spectator?

First, it may be to strengthen Raj Thakeray so that vote bank of Shiv Sena can be divided. Second, Congress want to hit at the opposition in Mumbai not directly but through Raj Thakeray.

And Raj Thakeray wants to play in their hands because he sees his own benefit in this game. The biggest mistake Raj Thakeray did was to hit at the national icon Amitabh Bachchan who is a thorough gentleman.

Foolish act of Raj Thakeray may cost him dearly in coming days. People disgust those politicians who can resort to any act while getting blind in power games.
