Yoga is the answer to calm and cool living.
The systematic approach to yoga with a given time frame will throw more light on life
and make life more meaningful.

One needs only a open mind and 100 % involvement to become a though personality,
in thoughts words and deeds.

When one is introduced to yoga by a guru, the unflinching faith in the system and the guru
will take the student to astronomical heights in yoga and enlightment.

Swami Satyanada yoga as it is known the world over ,
is a practice which is followed by more
than 150 countries and has its branch worldwide.
It had its genesis in The Bihar School of Yoga which was created by Swami Satyanada.

This article will be a series in which one will get to know more
about this type of yoga and yoga nidra.
In Yoga one understands the difference between the physical exercise and yoga.

While physical exercise is exerting or stressing the muscles , body to its elastic limits in the course of it
one may become tired, but in yoga we use the body and the mind in synchronized way to do all the
activities in phased manner.

Yoga can be done with body mind and breath approach.
While a whole variety of yoga is available, the content will highlight the Satyananda yoga or the
Bihar School of Yoga pattern.

The sequence is a short series based on the Bihar Yoga Bharathi Yoga University's prescribed text
book ASANA PRANAYAMA MUDHRA A BANDHA written by SWAMI SATYANANDA SARASWATHI

The first of the sequence is the Asana:
Yoga Sutras of Pathanjali defines yoga as "Sthiram Skuam Aasanam".
Those pose which makes one sit comfortably for an extended period of time and also help him to be in
that posture for the part of meditation is and can be termed as yoga.

Sitting postures: the ability to sit comfortably for a period of time is in itself is the first sign of posture learning.

Raja Yoga compares yogasana to the stable sitting position.

Hatha Yoga Pradipika (1.17)
"Prior to everything, asana is spoken of as the first part of Hatha Yoga.

Having done asana, one attains steadiness of body and mind, freedom from disease and lightness of the limbs."
The quote from the Hatha yoga Pradipika tells is
all;
the translation is what you find on the top.
At length the following series will try to explain each one of them subtly.
