Social Responsibilty for BCCI

India could not qualify to Olympics hockey. What a sad news. Every one started cursing the player and team. But have we ever tried to find out how much importance the Indian Government is giving to our national game. How much these players are paid in comparison to the cricket players? Our constitution says about equality in all spheres of life. What about other games and sports in India, do they get any consideration.

The present victory in Australia fetched around 1 crore for each team member of India Cricket team. But I do not think England has ever wasted that much money on its victory over Australia. That’s why in that country other games and sports are still alive. Our BCCI is earning a lot of money and does it has any social responsibility towards the country. No….sometimes they are saying we are spending in talent search.

I would like to say here as the companies and factories are forced to spend for development of the poor as their Corporate Social responsibility, BCCI must spend money in this head. Millions of Indian schools going children are deprived of sports and games only because of lack of materials. BCCI must provide each and every schools of this country with sport items as the country’s children can flourish properly.

The Indian Government should control the budget of BCCI and share the fund for other sports. I do not think those people who are spending a lot for cricket they will ever say that the money is wasted. We have to keep all sports and game alive in our country for the pride of the nation. Only success in cricket can not keep us high…….
