Stop Living for Others and Start Living For You

The world is one big stage and we are all artists and puppets acting in the drama. Yes, it is true. Man cannot be frank and open all the time. We often live for others. In other words, we do not do all that we want to do. Similarly, we have to do what we do not want to do. More confusing? We may love to play like a child on the road, but we mind our manners. Similarly, we may be forced to study Information technology when our real interest is on animation and graphics.

Man has to live within a society. He therefore has to maintain certain manners and habits even to a certain degree. He has to dress neatly and live with decent habits. Man wants to earn money, fame and name to achieve a high status in life. We often lose our originality. No animal lives with fear of what the other animal will think of it. Man began his artificial life when he first tried to cover his nakedness with leaves from plants.

We need not give much importance for what others will think if we do a certain thing. Don’t you think your beloved ones will love you as you are? They will continue to love you even if you lose your money, status etc. (if they don’t they are not your beloved ones!)

It is true that society will respect you when you have money, fame and name. However, you need not sacrifice your life for it. Remember that society only seems to respect you, though they may not have any respect for you in their hearts. Therefore, you need not sacrifice your life in honor of it.

Therefore, my dear friends please stop living for others and start living for yourself.
