Seance On A Sunday Afternoon
Submitted by Deeya Nayar on 7 October, 2008 - 16:57.Set in the modern society of sex and the city, hard-pressed for time, every character is self-indulgent. Shinie Antony pens her stories mysteriously and mischievously like the contemporary artist who paints with bold brush strokes to bring out the symbolism and meaningfulness.

Hushed Voices
Submitted by Deeya Nayar on 3 October, 2008 - 14:01.“Waiting for the 6.10 local,” a typical conversation that most of the Mumbaikars share at the railway station while waiting for the train that’ll take them home. Delve a little into the minds of these people and you find small time migrants who came to the city with dreams but are still struggling. The lifeline of Mumbai, these trains have become the part of every life.

Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni
Submitted by tamanna14 on 25 September, 2008 - 12:49.One of best authors ever, Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni, knows exactly how to show India in its true self.
Most of her books are based on Indian Women living abroad; but not even once did I feel that the element of Indianess was missing from her books.
The Mistress of Spices is the best book out of the lot and it has been made into a movie with actress Aishwariya Rai in the lead.

About “The Da-Vinci Code”
Submitted by achukaliyath on 30 August, 2008 - 20:22.A bell ring should echo the vicinity. With how much loudness, depends upon the size of the bell, of course! But it must ring and the echo generated should reverberate. That is the basic duty of the bell.

As he entered the spacious mansion he was spellbound to see the wealth and the riches of the landlord. He dreamt of asking for a big big ransom to free the wealthy landlord''s kid. "Come in. Come here my poor man. What brings you here?"
He did not reply and kept gazing around in disbelief. Because he had never before seen such a bungalow before.

Change of Attitude - Part 1
Submitted by abhi_bangal on 25 July, 2008 - 13:03.Long long ago, there lived a poor man. He was poor to the core. He literally had to just drink water and go to bed on some occasions in spite of working hard and honestly. He thought, did not get his due. So he was quite frustrated with life. By and by his belief from honesty, goodness, humanity was dissolving. Due to all this he remained unmarried, as no one was willing to give him his daughter.

Self Promotion is Contagious
Submitted by Trenee55 on 29 June, 2008 - 00:53.There is nothing wrong with a self-publisher promoting themselves anyway they can legally. Rich people do it all the time. The only difference between us and them is that they have "Agents". With all of the fees that are asked of us, no wonder you see people selling books from their cars, street corners and bars. After we publish our works, we are happy just to see the manuscrept in book form.
